Responsibilities

The Accounting Associate will work across the business to carry out the following responsibilities:

  • Perform daily bank reconciliation across entities ensuring transactions are properly reconciled
  • Supervise general accounting transactions e.g. accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Responsible for timely and accurate customer invoicing
  • Perform expense monitoring
  • Responsible for timely and accurate bill receipting and the approval thereof
  • Ensure accurate and timely postings of all journal entries, compliant with applicable standards and policies
  • Perform accruals and prepayments calculations
  • Assist with month-end closing of accounts and prepare financial reports in collaboration with the Finance Manager.
  • Assist to develop and drive process improvement strategies within finance and across the business
  • Additional accounting support/tasks as requested by the Finance Manager.
  • Contribute and participate in the development of Amped’s internal policies, process improvements, culture building, training, and other general operational functions.

Requirements

The Accounting Associate role requires:

  • At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Must have experience with Xero, Quickbooks or MYOB.
  • Must have experience working with clients in US, Australia or New Zealand.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize a demanding workload.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Team player, with the ability to multi-task, as well as flexible and can work under pressure and minimum supervision.
  • Self-driven and highly motivated.
