About the Opportunity

With extensive experience in partnering with HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical contractors, the client has a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget, earning a reputation as a trusted partner in the construction industry.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor with a strong foundation in the construction industry. This role is crucial in supporting both sales and project management teams, with responsibilities including performing take-offs, creating detailed bills of materials, progress reporting, and contributing to overall project success.
Responsibilities
What Success Looks Like
- Assist in performing take-offs for pipework, ductwork, and fire protection systems.
- Support in conducting electrical cable containment and seismic bracing take-offs.
- Aid in estimating building services support for MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and fire protection trades.
- Help create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for various projects.
- Support the sales team with basic data entry, documentation, and recording of call notes.
- Assist in compiling progress reports and project documentation.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of client interactions and project-related activities.
- Collaborate closely with senior team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of quantity surveying outputs.
Requirements
What You Bring
- At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in Quantity Surveying, estimating, or a related field (internship or entry-level role acceptable).
- Exposure to or basic understanding of construction or engineering projects, preferably in MEP sectors.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, or Navisworks is preferred but not required (training can be provided).
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the QS field.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to take on new challenges.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience or coursework involving ASANA, Bluebeam, Procore, Aconex, or SolidWorks.
- Exposure to collaborative environments and working across multiple teams or disciplines.
