Our client is a New Zealand retail apparel business with an established online store and a growing digital presence. They value quality, consistency and a positive customer experience.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior E-Commerce Specialist to support the e-commerce team.


This role helps keep website operations running smoothly, supports product launches and content updates, and assists with online merchandising tasks. If you’re organized, eager to learn, and interested in a hands-on e-commerce role, this is a practical role to build your skills.

Responsibilities

Website maintenance & content updates

  • Support regular website upkeep across brand sites.
  • Upload and update content such as swatches, store hours, price lists, and product images.
  • Assist with product uploads and ensure accuracy for colours and fabric ranges.
  • Help maintain homepage and landing pages (including Shogun where applicable).


E-commerce operations

  • Assist with product listing pages (PLPs) and product detail pages (PDPs).
  • Support logistics communications such as product-landed notifications and sale pushes.
  • Maintain product spec sheets, size guides, and online PDFs.
  • Help coordinate promotions and online campaign tasks.


Reporting & optimisation

  • Contribute to weekly e-commerce reporting.
  • Support basic SEO tasks and customer review management (YotPo).
  • Assist with channel tasks (Google Merchant Center, reporting tools).
  • Run reports such as sales, stock-outs, and product availability.


Team support

  • Work closely with design, marketing and photography teams to ensure smooth handoffs.
  • Provide coverage when team members are on leave.
  • Test and QA new site features and content updates

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in e-commerce, digital content, or marketing support.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic familiarity with CMS platforms and product merchandising tools (experience with BigCommerce, Searchspring, or Shogun is a plus).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data and content updates.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a busy environment.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and ready to learn.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure when needed.
  • Team focused and adaptable.
